Smile is the shortest curve that can connect many hearts….
August 30, 2008

It was a bright day had finished my classes early and was returning home happily as i could definitely find a seat for myself in the bus as it was only around 2 p.m. and buses generally are not really crowded around this time. I reached our platform no.19A and boarded our 222A and was indeed very satisfied to find my most favorite seat in the bus thats the window seat in the third row towards the left side of the driver seat. There is no specific reason to like that place but i don’t know i have some inclination to that seat. I feel on top of the world when i sit there.Anyways lets come back to the point. As most of my friends have noticed I’m a very good observer now that i got my most favorite place i started peeping out of the window. There was one family sitting and waiting for the bus in our own platform 19A. It was a family of 3. Husband, wife and a barely 3 or 4 year old child. All 3 looked very exhausted seemed like they were returning home from a long journey. While husband was very busy checking out for the bus, wife had no time to look at the crying child. The child was crying out loud. I still wonder how could she ignore her crying baby. I was looking at that child endlessly and the child just happened to look back at me. I smiled. To my surprise the child stopped crying for a while stared at me and again started crying. Now i was sure i somehow wanted to console that child. This time when the child looked at me i waved my hand. It stopped and gave me a smile. I thought now this seems to be working and waved my hand again and smiled. The child was feeling little better. I hid myself behind the window and observed the child carefully. The baby started looking out for me. I peeped outside the window and waved my hand again, this time the baby started jumping in joy. The child imitated me by hiding itself behind one of the pillars on the platform. This whole act went on for around 2-3 mins. continuously where alternatively we both would hid each other and looked for each other. The kid was kinda relaxed and I had the satisfaction of bringing smile on somebody’s face. Meanwhile the bus started and I had to bid a good bye to the wonder kid which made my day so beautiful. The child jumped in joy and waved hands back at me.
Its so easy to make people smile, yet we find million ways to hurt others and make them cry.

All things beautiful do not have to be full of color to be noticed: in life that which is unnoticed has the most power.

I too traveled in that route for a long time. but never had enough time to look around (or i thought so). your little story makes me think if I was being a little too much myself.
Good job and happy blogging. keep me updated.
